Former members of Sir George Kneipp Chambers have been appointed to various State and Commonwealth Courts or taken silk.
His Honour Justice Kieran Cullinane AM QC
Justice Kieran (Kerry) Cullinane was a foundation member of Chambers and commenced practice as a Barrister in 1966 whilst taking silk in 1982. He became the first Queen’s Counsel appointed from the regional bars and was appointed a Judge of the Supreme Court in 1992. Justice Cullinane retired in 2011.
His Honour Judge Grant Reithmuller
Judge Grant Reithmuller was a foundation member of Chambers and was appointed to the Federal Circuit Court Bench in Victoria in 2004. His Honour commenced practice at the Townsville Bar in 1987.
His Honour Judge Robert Pack OAM
Judge Robert (Bob) Pack was a foundation member of Chambers. He commenced practice at the Townsville Bar in 1973 and was sworn in as a Judge of the District Court of Queensland on 18 December 1997 before retiring in 2010. Judge Pack was awarded an OAM in 2019.
His Honour Judge Terry Betts
Judge Terry Betts was a former member of Chambers and commenced practice at the Townsville Bar in 2001 before being appointed to the Federal Circuit Court Bench in New South Wales in 2018.
Wendy Pack QC
Wendy Pack was a foundation member of Chambers and the Head of Chambers in Wills Street. She took silk in 2006 and was Queensland’s first female QC from regional Queensland. Mrs Pack commenced practice at the Townsville Bar in 1980 before retiring in 2010.
Magistrate Viviana Keegan
Magistrate Viviana Keegan was a former member of Chambers. Her Honour commenced her career at the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions in 1997, moving to the Queensland Director of Public Prosecutions in 2001, and was called to the Bar in 2008. Magistrate Keegan was appointed to the Queensland Magistrates Court in June 2018.
